A true Renaissance intellectual, Giovanni Boccaccio was deeply engaged in the politics of his time. Significant diplomatic missions and periods of service in Florence’s administrative offices marked moments of great importance in his career. The exhibition retraces the key episodes of his political life, highlighting how his literary background played a crucial role in shaping civic values and the idea of the common good.
Monument symbol of the city and seat of its government for over seven centuries, Palazzo Vecchio is a symbol of Florence.
Among the masterpieces housed in the building are Donatello’s Judith, Bronzino’s paintings in the Chapel of Eleonora, and Michelangelo’s Genius of Victory.

Accessibile ad eccezione del Mezzanino e di alcuni ambienti delle attività educative (ingresso da via dei Gondi).
TORRE
Accesso non consentito ai minori di 6 anni. I minori di 18 anni devono essere accompagnati da un adulto.
In caso di pioggia la torre di Arnolfo è chiusa al pubblico; sarà possibile accedere solo al camminamento medioevale.
